Varsity Baseball Traveled to Madison Heights to take on Bishop Foley

On Wednesday, May 19th, the Cabrini baseball team traveled to Madison Heights to face Bishop Foley in a non-league game. The Monarchs came out on top 4-3. Junior Ryan Kugelman pitched a complete game and struck out 10 in the process. In addition to that, he contributed from the offensive side going 2-4 with a two run homer. Fellow Junior Derek Ballas went 2-3 with 1 RBI and Senior Jacob Roman went 2-4 with 1 RBI. The Monarchs next game is Friday, May 21st, when they host Detroit Loyola in a no-league game
Boys Varsity Baseball Traveled to Summit Academy

On April 22nd, the Cabrini baseball team traveled to Romulus to face Summit Academy in a non-league game. The Monarchs came out on top by a score of 6-5 to improve to 4-2-1 on the season. Junior Hunter Krukowski came away with the win. Junior Derk Balls came on in relief to pick up the save.
Offensively Cabrini was led by Seniors Jacob Miller and Jacob Roman who went 2 for 4 and 1-2 respectively, with Roman plating two runs and Miller also contributing an RBI. Sophomore Michael Walters had a big day at the plate going 2 for 3. Coach Marc Strong called it a complete team win.
The Monarchs next action is Saturday, April 24th, when they travel to Marine City to face Cardinal Mooney in a double header
Varsity Boys Baseball Took on Cristo Rey in a Doubleheader, March 31st

On Wednesday, March 31st, Cabrini hosted Cristo Rey in a CHSL doubleheader. The Monarchs took game one 11-0 behind the two hit pitching of Junior Ryan Kugelman. Kugelman dominated on the mound, striking out eleven.
Game two ended in a 1-1 tie. Senior David Egged struck out five for the Monarchs, while going 1 for 3. Kugelman, who went three for six on the day, scored the tying run with some aggressive base running. An overthrow by the catcher as he tried to steal third sealed the deal, and he scampered home after the errant toss.
The Monarchs next game is April 13th, when they travel to Royal Oak to face Shrine in another CHSL doubleheader.
Varsity Boy's Baseball Travelled to Ann Arbor Greenhills for a Doubleheader

On Saturday, April 17th, the Cabrini baseball team travelled to Ann Arbor to face Greenhills in a doubleheader. The Monarchs came out victorious in both games, 16-0 in the first game and 11-1 in the nightcap.
In the first game, Senior David Egged tossed a 1 hit shutout for a complete game victory while striking out 11 in the process. Junior Hunter Krukowski led the offensive attack going 2 for 3 with 3 RBI's, Senior Jacob Miller went 3-4 and Sophomore Michael Walters contributed 3 RBI's in the victory.
In game two, Junior Derek Ballas tossed a 3 hit complete game with 10 k's. Freshman Nick Baccella led the Monarch attack going 1-2 with 3 RBI's and fellow Freshman Alex Thompson went 1 for 3 with 2 RBI's. Krukowski drove in another run and Miller finished with a 4 for 6 day at the plate.
Cabrini will see action again on Tuesday, April 20th, when they host a doubleheader versus Everest Academy, weather permitting.
