On Wednesday,May 19th, the Cabrini softball team traveled to Warren to face Regina in a CHSL semi- final game. The Monarchs got there by defeating Ann Arbor Greenhills/Fr. Gabriel Richard team 8-1 on the previous day. Once again Cabrini came out on top, this time by a score of 4-2. Senior Mackenzie Noah took the mound for a fourth time against Regina and sat down nine Saddlelites on strikes.
On the offensive side, Senior Wyndhem Reid went 1-3 with a double off the wall in left center. Junior Ella Nowc went 1-3, scored a run and showed plate discipline by walking twice. Freshman Brianna Manning went 1-3 and scored twice. Noah came up big at the plate going 2-4, scoring a run and driving in two runs. Sophomore Mary Schantz went 2-4 with an RBI and Junior Samantha Graf drove in the final run for the Monarchs.
Cabrini now travels to the University of Detroit to face 6th ranked Farmington Mercy on Tuesday, May 25th for the CHSL championship.
