On Friday, May 14th, the Monarchs did battle with Regina as they tried to nail down a third place finish in the league. Cabrini needed one win to clinch third, and they did with a 5-2 victory in the first game. Noah again was dominant, recording 12 K's and limiting Regina to 7 hits. The offense was well distributed. Reid went 1-3 scored a run and had an RBI. Junior Ella Nowc went 2-3 and scored a run, Noah, 1-2 scored twice and had an RBI. Schantz went 1-3 and scored a run, fellow sophomore Elaine Teed had 2 RBI and Freshman Madison Lewicki also drove in a run.
The second game went to Regina who came out with a 9-4 victory. Nowc went 1-2 scored a run and had an RBI, manning, Manning went 1-4 scored a run also and an RBI and Noah came up big again going 2-4 with 2 RBI.
The Monarchs next game is Tuesday May18th, when they host Greenhills/Fr. Gabriel Richard in the CHSL quarterfinals, with the winners of that affair earning a date with Regina the following day.
