On May 13th, the Cabrini softball team traveled to Ann Arbor to face off against Greenhills/ Fr. Gabriel Richard in a CHSL doubleheader. In the the first game the Monarchs eked out a 2-0 win. Senior Pitcher Mackenzie Noah, struck out 15 and allowed only two hits. Offensively, fellow Senior Wyndhem Reid went 2-3 and scored one of the Monarch runs. Sophomore Mary Schantz drove in both Cabrini runs, and Freshman Ashley Pelc went 1-2 as the Monarchs were held to just 3 hits.
In the second game, the Monarchs dominated their shorthanded opponents by a score of 10-2. Noah struck out 10 in six innings and freshman Brianna Manning came on in the seventh and struck out the side. Once again Reid led the attack, going 3-5, with one of her hits being a triple. She also knocked in 3 runs. Noah had a big game going 3-4 she also had a triple scored twice and had 2 RBI. Manning went 1-4, drove in three runs and scored twice. Junior Samantha Graf went 1-3 with 1 RBI and Schantz capped it off with an RBI as well.
