On Tuesday, April, 27th, the Cabrini softball team hosted Ann Arbor Fr. Gabriel Richard/Greenhills in a non-league game. In an exciting pitcher's duel, the Monarchs came out on top 2-1. Senior mackenzie Noah stuck out 18, in a 3 hit performance. She was totally dominating. Offensively, the Monarchs were only able to scrape together 5 hits.
Senior Wyndem Reid went 2 for 3 with a double and a triple. Sophomore Mary Schantz stole the show though going 2 for 3 with a double, driving in the first run for the Monarchs. In the seventh inning, with the scored tied at 1,she led off with a single, moved to second on a wild pitch, stole third base and then scored on the overthrow by the catcher to win the game.
The Monarchs next game is Wednesday, April 28th, when they host Birmingham Country Day in a non league contest.
