On Wednesday, April 14th, the Cabrini Softball team hosted Detroit Western International in a non-league game. It was the delayed opener for the Monarchs. Cabrini came away with the win 10-0 in a game called after five innings, on a brisk day. Cabrini was led on the mound by Senior MacKenzie Noah who picked up the win 11K's and helped her cause by going 3 for 3, at the plate (two singles and a double) with 5 RBI's.
Fellow Senior Wyndham Reid was 3 for 3, (two singles and a double and flawless fielding.
Freshman Brianna Manning and Junior Samantha Graf were both 1 for 1, with Graf playing a strong game behind the plate.
The Monarchs next game was scheduled for April 15th on the road at Farmington Hills Mercy, but was postponed due to inclement weather. They now play Saturday, as they host Detroit Cristo Rey and Taylor Summit Academy in a three team round robin.
