Cabrini's Softball Program Hosted "Gamesense"

On Saturday, October 17th, the Cabrini Softball program hosted "Gamesense". This company has developed an app that develops athletes' cognitive recognition of pitches.

Professional softball players from Athletes Unlimited, a professional softball program out of Chicago, participated in making videos to assist softball players from elementary school to college, in pitch recognition. From fastball, to curve, drop to rise to a screwball, these professional softball hurlers displayed all their skills on the Monarch playing field.

Among the pitchers were Samantha Shaw who pitched for both Texas A&M and Oklahoma State University, Haylie Wagner, a lefthander who pitched for both U of M and the Chicago Bandits, and Sara Driesenga a righthander also from U of M, who pitched for the Scrap Yard Dawgs of the National Pro Fastpitch League and coaches at Central Michigan University.

Head Coach Debbie Norman and Assistant Coach Randy Wojtala were on hand to assist with the field prep. Former Ohio State pitcher Courtney Gentile and Cabrini alum Kristine Dolunt helped facilitate the taping.  All in all a great day for the Monarch softball program.
