Cabrini High School and their softball program are proud to announce the commitment of Senior Pitcher/Second Baseman, Vivianna Gonzalez to Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio.  Coach Debbie Norman said how proud she was of Vivianna and her work ethic. "She's a versatile player we have depended on for the last three years, and has helped bring Cabrini softball back to the forefront on a state level. She knows her positions, has a good baseball sense and is a true team player. Viv has been a very steady and dependable force here at Cabrini. We wish her all the best."

Coach James Walker of Franciscan is excited about the future prospects of his team with Gozalez in the lineup. He feels she should get immediate paying time based on the fact she both pitches and plays second base. "I watched her this summer, and was impressed with her positioning and softball I.Q. She's a smart player and has faith based values.", said Coach Walker "She is definitely the kind of athlete we were looking for to help our program move forward.".
