Game Two for Cabrini Softball vs Traverse City St. Francis in the John Schlosser Tournament

In the second game of the Schlosser Tournament, Cabrini totally dominated St. Francis of Traverse City. In a game called after five innings, the Monarchs won 19-3. Sophomore pitcher Mackenzie Noah had another strong performance striking out 11.Her only shaky inning was the third when she was tagged for a three run homer. But then she was lights out, striking out four of the last five batters she faced.

Offensively, Cabrini feasted on a young St. Francis pitcher who had some control problems, walking five batters in the first inning. The Monarchs scored four runs in the first, five in the second, five in the third, one in the fourth and four more in the fifth. Noah led the attack with had four hits and eight RBI. Michaleigh Vallimont scored two runs, and Mackenzie Schick scored four runs and had two hits.  Lily Vallimont scored four runs, had three hits and three RBI and Vivianna Gonzalez scored twice.  Caleigh Muglia had two hits, Madison Buerkle had 3 RBI, and Samantha Graf ended the hit parade with two of her own.

The Monarchs now go on the road to face St. Catherine's of Wixom in a doubleheader on Monday. Cabrini then hosts a Catholic League semi-final game against Fr. Gabriel Richard of Ann Arbor on Wednesday.
