On Thursday, the Lady Monarchs traveled to Ann Arbor to face off against Fr. Gabriel Richard who had split a doubleheader earlier in the year with the Monarchs. Cabrini jumped out to a three run lead in the first on walks to Juniors Michaleigh Vallimont and Mackenzie Schick. Freshman Lilly Vallimont drove in her sister with a single. Schick came in on a wild pitch and Lilly scored on a ground out by Junior Vivianna Gonzalez.

The Monarchs struck for three more runs in the second . Sophomore Wyndhem Reid reached base on an error, Freshman Samantha Graf drew a walk and both scored on a three run blast to left center by Michaleigh Vallimont.

After Richard scored once in the fourth to cut the Monarch lead to 6-1, Cabrini responded with two more runs of their own. A single by Junior Emma Delcotto, a walk to Michaleigh Vallimont, put runners on first and second. Lily Vallimont moved both runners over on a hard grounder to short. Then both scored on wild pitches., That made it 8-1 Monarchs.

Gabriel Richard scored once in the fifth , but the Monarchs capped off the scoring with a run in the sixth. Michaleigh Vallimont led off with a walk moved to second on a walk to Schick. Took third on a wild pitch and then scored her fourth run of the game on a groundout to short by Gonzalez. Gonzalez racked up four RBI on the day.

Junior Mackenzie Noah pitched another strong game finishing with 10 k's and allowing only two earned runs. Cabrini's next two games are at home against Cesar Chavez Academy on Friday and then Tuesday against the always dangerous Riverview Gabriel Richard in a league contest.
