The Cabrini softball team traveled to Country Day High School for their second game of the season. The Monarchs started out strong with 3 runs in the first inning and continued their attack throughout the entire game. Sisters Michaleigh Vallimont with (4 hits and 3 runs scored) and Lily Vallimont, (3 hits, 2 homers, 4 runs scored and 6 RBI) led the way. Junior Mackenzie Schick scored 3 runs and Sophomore Mackenzie Noah drove in 2 runs. Junior Vivianna Gonzalez, in a strong performance, went the distance striking out 5 Yellow Jacket batters. The Monarchs went on to defeat Country Day by a score of 10 - 2.
The Monarchs are the road again for their next four games, a doubleheader against Regina on Friday and a doubleheader against Divine Child on Tuesday, April 2nd.
