On Tuesday the 8^th, the Cabrini Monarchs traveled to Wyandotte for a double dual meet between the Riverview Pirates and the Wyandotte Bears.  This was the first competition for the Monarchs coming out of the Christmas break and the team performed respectably despite meeting two power house teams while missing 10 athletes due to a special school event.  Here are the team results: Wyandotte 127 Cabrini 54, Riverview 126 Cabrini 52, Riverview 106 Wyandotte 80.  The Monarchs turned in 15 PR performances for the evening with ten of those swims coming from freshmen Lily Heath, Lauren Schulte, Kyra Roth and sophomores Riley Bonar, Pratham Patel, Thomas Day, Rachel Zarb.  Here are the top three individual and relay finishes for the evening.  The Medley Relay team of Lily Heath, Thomas Day, Joe Misovich and Evan Trohimczyk placed 3^rd.  In the 50 Freestyle Evan Trohimczyk and Thomas Day placed 2^nd and 3^rd respectively.  Lily Heath followed that performance up with a 3^rd place finish in the 100 Freestyle then Evan Trohimczyk turned in a 2^nd place finish in the 500 Freestyle.  In the Monarchs final top three finish of the evening the 200 Freestyle Relay the team of Thomas Day, Joe Misovich, Lily Heath and Evan Trohimczyk turned in the only 1^st place finish with a narrow victory over the Riverview “A” team.

The Monarchs next test will be this Saturday when they travel to Belleville for the Tiger Invitational at Belleville High School.
