Cabrini Swim & Dive Team Double Dual Meet Against Taylor & Woodhaven

From the very first event on Thursday, the Monarchs secured both the 2nd and 4th place finishes in the 200 Medley Relay by the teams of Cate Day, Daniel Misovich, Joe Misovich, and Evan Trohimczyk, as well as Lily Heath, Tom Day, Lexi Assenmacher, and Niko LaGreca. The Monarchs then followed that up with a 2nd place finish by Evan Trohimczyk in the 200 Yard Freestyle. Daniel Misovich competed in the 200 Yard Individual Medley and also earned a 2nd place finish. By event four, Joe Misovich and Tom Day took 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the 50 Yard Freestyle. Senior Joe Misovich then went on to compete in the next event, the 100 Yard Butterfly, and finished in 2nd place. Keeping the momentum going, Evan Trohimczyk blew away the competition and placed 1st in the 100 Yard Freestyle. The relay teams of Evan Trohimczyk, Tom Day, Jonas Raiha, Joe Misovich, and Cate Day, Chloe Roth, Lauren Baird, Niko LaGreca finished 1st and 3rd in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay Event, followed by Daniel Misovich earning 2nd and Lily Heath earning 3rd in the 100 Yard Breaststroke. To finish out the day, the relay team of Jonas Raiha, Cate Day, Lily Heath, and Daniel Misovich took 3rd place in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.

In addition to these accomplishments, 8 swimmers competed in events they had never swam in a competition before. Not only did each swimmer compete in something new, they exceeded their expectations, and gained a stronger understanding of their talents.

Next, the Monarchs will compete in the Warrior Invitational taking place on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Allen Park High School."
