The Monarchs defeated Bishop Foley by a score of 6-1 in Friday nights game. The Monarchs fell behind early in the first period after Bishop Foley opened the scoring, but the Monarchs would roar back with six unanswered goals throughout the game.
Sophmore forward, Andrew Seminara tied the game with a shorthanded goal and would later add another goal giving him 7 on the year. Senior forward, Luke Metropoulos netted the eventual game winner early in second period giving him a team high 19 goals on the year. Jacob Piccolo and Evan Taylor also added goals in third period of Friday's game. The final tally came with about two minutes left in the game when Junior forward, Nathan Wincel scored his first career high school goal to cap of the Monarchs victory.
Carson Muglia (2), Evan Taylor (2), Hayden Kieltyka (2), Luke Metropolous (3), Cole McNulty, Nathan Wincel, Andrew Seminara, and Braeden Goers all had assists in Friday night's game.
Junior goaltender, Brandon Hiuser made 15 saves on 16 shots and earned the victory.
The win was the Monarch's sixth in a row. Their upcoming games are January 18th at home against South Lyon, January 24th at home against Ann Arbor Pioneer and January 25th at home against Livonia Franklin. All home games begin at 7:00pm and are held at the Allen Park Recreation Center.
