On Saturday, Jan.11th, the Cabrini hockey team (consisting of players from both Annapolis and Belleville High Schools as well) hosted Grosse Pointe University of Liggett in a league match, at the Allen Park Civic Center.  The Monarchs continued their winning ways with a 5-2 triumph.  The win extended the Monarch’s winning streak to 5 games and improved their record to 6-8 after a rough start to the season. Cabrini was led by Senior Luke Metropoulos who combined two goals with two assists, for a four point game. Fellow Senior Evan Taylor also scored two goals and added an assist for a three point game. Annapolis sophomore Andrew Seminara added a fifth goal and an assist as well. Sophomores Hayden Kieltyka and Carson Muglia each assisted on two goals and Luke Osman rounded out the team scoring with an assist.

Junior Brandon Hiuser continued his solid goaltending for the Monarchs, stopping 26 of 28 shots fired his way, in leading his team to a big win. Cabrini will be traveling to Madison Heights on Friday, Jan 17th, to face Bishop Foley and then finish the weekend at home against South Lyon. Both games starting at 7p. Go Monarchs!
