The Monarchs took the ice for the third time in four nights on Saturday as they hosted the Jackson Lumen Christi Titans. They would beat the Titans in dramatic fashion with a 6-5 overtime victory. Senior forward, Austin Molina ended the game with just 15 seconds left in overtime with assists going to Juniors, Luke Metropolous and Evan Taylor. The Monarchs took a 4-3 lead heading into the third period and then took a two goal lead after Evan Taylor capitalized on a 5 on 3 advantage early in the third. But after a few Monarch penalties late in the game, the Titans tied the game with back-to-back goals late in the game. The Monarchs showed some resiliency heading into overtime as the out-shot the Titans 9-2 in the extra period with the game ending with Molina's game winning goal. Luke Metropolous finished the night with a goal and three assists, Evan Taylor netted two goals and added one assist, Austin Molina had two goals, Alex Teed had a goal and an assist, and Zach Bagozzi had two assists on the night.
