The Monarchs would travel to Southfield A&T last night for a single away game and would come out with a win with the score of 9-3. Junior Bobby O'Guin started on the mound for the team and would go 4 strong innings while only allowing 1 run with 3 strikeouts, which would be enough to earn the win on the night. Senior Jimmy Fister came in relief to hold Southfield A&T for the remaining 3 innings.
On the offensive side, junior Bobby O'Guin was dialed in going 2 for 2 with a 2 RBI triple and getting on base via a walk and a hit by pitch in his other two at bats. Junior Austin Kieltyka would add 3 RBI's on the night, while fellow junior Nick Ballas would walk 3 times and come around to score each time. The Monarchs will resume play in a doubleheader at Flat Rock High School on Thursday, May 24th at 4:30PM!
