The Cabrini varsity baseball team resumed play last night in a doubleheader against Edsel Ford HS. The Monarchs would come away with a split after dropping the first game 13-2, then bouncing back with an 11-1 mercy win. In Game 2, junior Bobby O'Guin had a dominant performance with a complete game one hitter to earn the win, while allowing no earned runs and striking out three.
On the offensive side junior Evan Taylor continues his tear with a combined 4 for 7 on the night including 2 runs scored and an RBI. Junior Austin Kieltyka and freshmen Ryan Kugelman added 3 RBI's a piece in Game 2 as well. The Monarchs begin league play on Tuesday at 6pm against Detroit Cristo Rey at The Corner Ballpark in Detroit (Old Tigers Stadium location). Come out and support the team!
