On January 11th, the Cabrini Bowling team traveled to Plaza Lanes in Plymouth for Catholic League matches. The boys Varsity squad defeated Detroit Loyola 25-5 to remain undefeated on the season. Sophomore Wyatt Korndorfer led the way with games of 165 and 180. Junior David Kowalski also had a strong outing shooting games of 166 and 168, while Freshman Bryce Cadaret coming off a strong performance last week continued his success with a high game of 180.
The Girls remained undefeated as well, defeating Riverview Gabriel Richard 24-6. Senior Samantha Graf led the way with a 214. Freshman Justine Moore (164) and Junior Jordan Downham(152), rounded out the high scores for the Monarchs.
The short handed JV squad upped their record to 3-1 as they defeated Ann Arbor Fr. Gabriel Richard 16-14 after trailing 10-0 after the Baker games. Senior Joey Berro paced the team with a 162 high game. Freshmen Matthew Dimitruchina (144) and Andrew Tomaine (143) and Sophomore Josh Hancock (138) rounded out the team scoring.
The Monarchs next matches are January 19th, at Cherry Hill Lanes North. The matches are being hosted by Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes.
