A Cabrini Week in Review Week of December 13th

On Monday, December 13th, the Cabrini Bowling team traveled to Imperial Lanes in Clinton Township to face off against Chesterfield Township Austin Catholic.  The boys varsity shutout Austin 30-0. The Monarch boys were led by Freshman Bryce Cadaret who rolled games of 203 and 222. Juniors Nathan Radke and David Kowalski had high games of 232 and 223 respectively.  Senior Evan Pogorzelski rounded out the top four with a 203

 

On the girls side, the Monarchs defeated Austin 28-2.  Sophomore Brianna Manning led the way with a 188. Junior Jordan Downham rolled games of 169-170 and Freshman Justine Moore checked in at 160.

 

On the JV side, the Monarchs took down Austin. Freshman  Andrew Tomaine with a 144 and Sophomore Josh Hancock 143 led the way, while Freshman Addison Shindler 135 and Junior Lilia Barcenas 131 rounded out the top four. 

 

On Tuesday, December 14th, the Lady Monarchs traveled to Ann Arbor to face Ann Arbor Central in a non-league affair. Cabrini came out with a very strong performance and won by a 64-17 margin. Sophomore Katelyn Jabczenski led the way with 14 points and 5 steals. Junior Mary Schantz dominated the boards with 11 rebounds and also scored 14 points. Junior Isabella Roa with 9 points, 3 steals and 3 assists, Senior Anai Ghazzawi with 9 points, 4 steals and 3 assists, Sophomore Nikki Teed and Senior Ella Nowc, both with 6 points all contributed to the high scoring offense and shut down defense.

 

On that same night in Trenton, the Co-op Cabrini/Riverview hockey team took down Farmington United with a 9-1 victory. Senior Hayden Kieltyka with 2 goals and 2 assists, Jayce Johnson with 2 goals and 1 assist, Gabe Livernois and Daniel Contreaz both with 2 goals and Nick Burns with 1 goal, Hayden Holmes and Jordan Szuch both with 2 assists, led a dominating  offensive outburst. Goaltender Jerry Wright, Senior defenseman Carson Muglia and Sophomore Zach Norsia-Ziembic put the finishing touches on the defensive side.  All in all a true team effort.
