On Thursday, Feb. 13th, the Cabrini Bowling team faced Madison Heights Bishop Foley in a match for first place in the Catholic League. The Monarchs came in undefeated and Bishop Foley had one loss. Unfortunately Bishop Foley prevailed in the match 20-10. The Monarchs lost the match by 11 pins total. it was great bowling by both teams who finish 9-1 and as co-champs of the Catholic League West Division.
The Monarchs were led by Sophomore Chris Stevens with games of 202 and 194. Freshmen Nathan Radtke (179 / 225) and David Kowalski (170 /195), also came up big. Junior Matthew heath rounded out the scoring with a 181.
The girls also fell to Bishop Foley with Fresham Jordan Downham rolling games of 144 and 200.
The JV finished the day by beating Bloomfield Hills Sacred Heart behind the leadership of Senior Luke Adamkiewicz. He rolled a first game of 216 and followed that with a 184. Coach Josh Jablonski was very proud of the effort put in by all three teams. "I'm looking forward to some big things from this team going forward. They're fairly young and pretty aggressive. Once they calm down a bit and believe a little bit more in themselves and their teammates, look out! The future is very promising."
