On May 8th, the Cabrini Girls soccer traveled to Chesterfield Township to face Austin in a CHSL contest. The Monarchs came away with a 5-1 victory. Sophomore Krista Mantlow scored the first goal unassisted. The second goal was scored by fellow Sophomore Elaine Teed on a penalty kick. The play started when Sophomore Isabella Roa fed Senior Allison Bolinger with a pass who was then fouled in the box. and the Monarchs were awarded the penalty kick.
Yet another Sophomore, Niamh O'Connell, scored the next three goals, giving her 11 on the year. Two were unassisted and the third came off an assist from Freshman Ava Teed. Junior Riley Lieboda was once again solid in goal.
The Monarchs next match is Wednesday, May 12th, when they host Ypsilanti Arbor Prep at 4:15.
