The Cabrini Monarchs entered the state golf championships ready to continue the amazing run that this season has been.  From division champions at the Murdock Invitation to the extraordinary third place finish at regionals, this year's Monarch team has showed grit and determination.  The never give up attitude is encapsulated by Senior Niko Brithinee, a late minute substitution for the state finals, he remained positive throughout a rough round at The Meadows.  While the weather was the nicest its been all season, highs reaching 86 degrees, the team found tough sledding at the links style course. Junior Luke Metropoulos expressed it best by saying, “it was like playing golf where every hole is surrounded by water”.  Luke lead the team with a two day total of 201.    Kalamazoo Hackett won the division 4 title with a two day total of 652.  Despite finishing last among the state qualifiers the team IS, and should be, proud of it’s accomplishments.  Senior Austin Molina summed up the entire season with his final comment, “what a ride!”.
