Boys Varsity Cross Country

On Friday October 22nd the Cabrini Cross Country team traveled to Willow Metropark to compete in the Catholic League Championship.
The girls varsity team took 3rd place, narrowly missing out of a three way tie for 1st by 11 points. Sophomore Ava Teed took All-Catholic Honors by finishing 1st overall to become the back to back Catholic League champion, with a new personal best time of 19:30.8, running just 2.1 seconds away from tying the school record. Also earning All-Catholic honors were Senior Lily Heath (6th) with a time of 21:39.70 and Sophomore Nicole Teed (15th) season best time of 22:34.20. Rounding out the varsity team was Senior Ella Nowc finishing 19th (22:53.3), Sophomore Ella Brash finishing 41st (27.28.5), Freshman Antonina Pizzo, finishing 45th (30:16.60), and Senior Lauren Shulte finishing 52nd with a season best time of 34:44.10.
The boys varsity team finished in 5th place in the league. Junior Christopher Russelburg led the team by taking 3rd overall and being named All-Catholic with a time of 17:39.10. Fellow Junior Brayden McKay finished 28th with a time of 19:59.9 followed closely by the rest of the varsity team. Senior Bram Wolf finished 32nd (20:09.6), Junior Octavio Orozco (34th) personal best time of 20:14.6, Senior Joey Berro (35th) season best of 20:15.1, Freshman Ralph Kaleniecki (37th) personal best time of 20:18.4 and Junior Logan Eiden (40th) 20:31.8.
The boys JV team finished in first place and were led by Sophomore Tyler Noah (1st) with a time of 21:24.4. The rest of the JV team consisted of Senior Nathan Neubecker (3rd) season best time of 21:33.0, Freshman Jack Fitzgerald (7th) personal best of 22:29.30,Seniors Kyle Fust (15th) personal best time of 23:40.10 and Christian Campitelle (31st) with a time of 28:16.20.
The Cabrini cross country teams will travel on October 29th to Chandler Park to compete at the Regional Championships in an attempt to qualify for the MHSAA State Championship.
