Congratulations Cabrini Boys & Girls Cross Country State Finals @ MIS Racetrack in Brooklyn

On Saturday, November 7th, the Cabrini Cross Country team participated in the state finals at the MIS racetrack in Brooklyn. The boys finished 24th overall in the state out of 75 teams in their division. Sophomore Christopher Russelburg led the Monarchs with a time of 18:53, just missing cracking the top 100 runners, finishing 104. Junior Bram Wolf and Sophomore Braden McKay broke the 20:00 minute on a warm windy day with a stiff wind down the final 100 meters.

On the girls side, the Lady Monarchs finished 10th overall in the state. Freshman Ava Teed made All-State with a time of 20:38 to finish 15th overall.  Junior Ella Nowc finished 54th with a time of 21:40. Freshman Nicole Teed just missed a top 100 finish with a time 22:53.

Coach Zander Pollack was very pleased with the overall finish of both teams. "It was warm and windy, and though none of our runners had season bests, I was very happy with our times.  For both teams to finish in the top 25 of the state is quite an accomplishment. I'm looking for even bigger and better results next year!

Congratulations, and Go Monarchs!
