On Wednesday, Jan. 8th, the Cabrini girls basketball teams travelled to Wixom to face tough St. Catherine of Siena. In the first contest of the evening, the JV lost 51-41. The Monarchs had balanced scoring from Sophomore Ella Nowc and Freshman Niamh O'Connell, both with 7 points, Freshmen Gabby Roa and Krista Mantlow each contributed 6 points as well.  Coach Alicia Morrone was disappointed by the result, but sees progress. "We just need to maintain our intensity when we start the second half, and we'll be okay."

The varsity also lost by 10 points 48-38.  Senior Emma Delcotto and Freshman Mary Schantz paced the team with 8 points a piece. Senior Mackenzie Schick also dropped in 7 points. Coach Marc Strong was pleased with the effort, but is hoping for a few more defensive stops. "We make just a few more stops and we're right there.", he said.

Cabrini will host Ann Arbor Greenhills on Tuesday, Jan.14th.  JV starts at 5:30 and the varsity tips off at 7P. Go Monarchs!
