On Friday, Feb. 20th, the JV Boys Basketball team opened their season with a very tough loss to Lutheran Northwest by a score of 31-30. Sophomore Ben Maffesoli led the scoring with14 points and Sophomore Brayden McKay scored nine in the defeat. The boys worked hard but were held to only one point in the 3rd quarte rby an oppresive Northwest defense. The Monarchs actually were trailing by 12 points going into the 4th quarter and came charging back. Albeit, the comeback fell just short. The JV's next game will be On Tuesday, Feb. 23rd at Austin Academy.
