The Monarch Girls JV & Varsity Basketball Sweep Ann Arbor Greenhills
The Lady Monarchs traveled to Ann Arbor Greenhills that same night and both the varsity and JV teams came away winners. Seniors Emma Delcotto with 12 points and Mackenzie Schick with 11 points led the varsity to a 46-32. Coach Marc Strong was very pleased with the team's tenacity and defense.
In the first game, the Lady Monarchs JV squad hung on for a 28-26 win. Freshmen Niamh O'Connell and Claire Villareal led the scoring with six points each and fellow freshman Krista Mantlow also kicked in four points. Coach Alicia Morrone was pleased with the effort and the way her team was able to hold fast and deny Greenhills an opportunity to pull out a victory.
