On Tuesday, Jan 14th, the Cabrini Boys basketball teams traveled to Grosse Pointe to face University Liggett. In the first game, the JV lost a tough one, 47-42. According to Coach Joe Osmulski it was a very closely called game, with 50 fouls called against both teams. Freshman Owen Tomsic led the team in scoring with 15 points. Fellow freshman Jack Delaney added 6 points. "It was very hard for either team to get into a rhythm with all the fouls. We also had a key injury, but we continued to battle right to the end.

 In the second game the varsity lost 49-32. Again it came down to a lack of rebounding. Coach Justin Decremer was frustrated by Liggett getting too many second chances, but it's a work in progress as the Monarchs try to find a way to put up a W. Senior Bobby O’Guin led the team with 24 points and fellow senior & Nick Ballas added 6 points.

Cabrini will host Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes on Friday, Jan.16th. the JV game tips off at 5;30p, followed by the varsity at 7p. Go Monarchs!
