On Tuesday 1/31 Cabrini hosted a CHSL contest with Austin Catholic, Cabrini jumped out to a 19-12 half-time lead as the Monarchs were ice cold from the field  scoring only 9 second quarter points however their tough defense held Austin Catholic to 6 second quarter points. Second half wasn’t much better offensively for the Monarchs however the defense was very tough forcing multiple turnovers & Freshman Lander Emerick paced the team with 11 rebounds along with dropping in 9 points. Owen Tomsic led the Monarchs scoring with 18 points & Jack Delaney added 12 points while pacing the Monarch offense to a 43-30 win, moving the Monarchs to 4-1 in league play & 5-10 overall. Next up a road game at Frankel Jewish Academy on Thursday 2/2.

Cabrini hit the road for their last road league game of the 2022-2023 campaign, Cabrini brought their offense with them as the Monarchs scored a season high 22 points in the first quarter and taking a half-time lead of 36 to 21 against a pesky Jewish Academy. Cabrini started the third quarter on a 10-0 run and kept the pumping in points to a total of 27 third quarter points and starting the fourth quarter with a 63 -36 lead. The Monarchs had three players in double digits led by Senior Owen Tomsic who had 18 points & 7 assists, Freshman Lander Emerick adding 17 points along with 7 rebounds,  not to be outdone Jack Delaney dropped in 13 points which bringing down 6 rebounds & adding 5 assists & Senior Brayden McKay scored 9 points with 5 rebounds.

The Monarchs prepare for two key home games next week to close out league play hosting Detroit Cristo Rey on Tuesday 2/7 & Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes on Friday 2/10.
